Industry-experienced educators will help you develop the skills and knowledge required to provide beauty therapy treatments and services which includes facial massage, body massage, hair removal, facials, spa treatments, lash extensions and brow treatments, nail technology services, makeup and aromatherapy.
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy qualifies you to become a professional beauty therapist. Strengthen your knowledge on a range of beauty disciplines and choose an area to specialise in. Travel the world with transferable skills or use your knowledge to launch your own salon business.
The Diploma of Beauty Therapy is also an ideal course for hairdressers or makeup artist wishing to increase their skill base.

ABOUT THE COURSE
Our course content selection provides you with the knowledge, attitude and skills to work in the beauty industry as a professional beauty therapist. From day one you will develop a broad range of competencies, opening doors to the beauty industry – from Body treatments and specialised facials, Lash, brow and waxing services, Designing and applying make-up, Manicure and pedicure services. Even build your own beauty business. The beauty care industry is one of the fastest growing consumer markets in Australia and the number of beauty therapists is expected to grow very strongly with around 29,000 job openings in 2022. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
No formal education requirements to enrol in course.
All courses at The Makeup Technicians are taught in English. Applicants will need to show evidence of suitable English proficiency for the course they
have chosen. Students must have a minimum English language level of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
International Students must be at least 18 years of age
ATTENDANCE
FULLTIME DURATION
12 months, Two days per week
To successfully complete this course, you will need to attend face-to-face classes for 2 days per week for 42 weeks. You will have off campus structured learning activities including homework, assignments, assessment preparation, student salons practical work experience and online study. You will complete 26 units of study to gain the Diploma of Beauty Therapy.

COURSE FEE STRUCTURE

Course fee is inclusive of supplies, materials and equipment required within the classroom.
Students are welcome to purchase a personal kit, which they can take home and use off-site and on-campus. An extensive kit is available to purchase from our partner suppliers for $1950.
The School requires a deposit and admin fee to be paid before enrollment into a course.
Australian Government regulations require that overseas students pay the fees for the first semester of a course before a Confirmation of Enrollment Certificate (CoE) can be issued.

WORK PLACEMENT
Work experience provides you with exposure to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment.
Work experience is not mandatory for this qualification; however, this is a highly practical course. We strongly recommend you undertake work experience with a suitable industry employer.
You are responsible for arranging your own work experience. Our team can offer support and guidance to assist you.
